break a neck

one day as i was sitting in the living room a little over a year ago, minding my own business, this kid started jumping off our couch. he was getting some pretty serious hang-time, so i just had to snap a few photos. it got to be quite comical after a while. these are some pictures that occured after about 2 minutes of straight jumping. he had to take off his sweatshirt because obviously he was working up a sweat or something.

once i realized what his shirt said, i had to laugh. the funniest part was that he wasn't getting into trouble...just making it. it could have ended poorly. he could have tripped and fallen head over heels and broken something. something like the vase on the tv. or the tv itself. but since nothing got broken, it was all good.

so he continued jumping and leaping from the couch. getting more and more hang-time. i think by this time i was laughing so hard i could barely hold the camera straight. it was unbelievable how high he could get and how many times he could keep jumping and not get into trouble. i mean seriously, what mom in their right mind not only allows this in the house, but also condones and encourages it by snapping photos of the crime in progress?

guess his shirt says it all....

all i can think is to say "keep it up and you'll break a neck"
